Addressing Social Issues

The Indus Canada Foundation (Indus) took a proactive approach to addressing various social issues affecting the Alberta community. Through 1x1 consultations, Indus provided support to families dealing with domestic violence, racism, and parent-child relations. These consultations offered a safe space for individuals to discuss their concerns and receive guidance on the way forward.

Indus also organized a community forum to discuss domestic violence and the stigma associated with it, encouraging open dialogue and seeking solutions to these critical issues. The foundation actively raised its voice on social media and other platforms to combat racism, Islamophobia, and violence stemming from religious and cultural discrimination. These efforts extended to broader global issues, with Indus speaking out against conflicts in various regions and atrocities happening around the world.
