Empowering Underprivileged Communities

The Indus Canada Foundation (Indus) has focused on empowering underprivileged people by initiating various projects with an aim to create work opportunities for people in need. Some of the initiatives are listed as under:

  • Provided sewing machines to needy and poor women.
  • Built and provided operation ready ‘Tuc’ shops and ‘Tire Repair’ shops to orphans.
  • Provided ‘Hand Carts with Vegetables and Fruits’ to poor and needy people in Pakistan.
  • Food hampers (Rashin Bags) to over 6,500 poor and needy people including widows, seniors, and orphans.
  • Distribution of hot meals in Calgary to families affected by Covid.
  • Distribution of Donations to a Charitable Hospitals in Pakistan for medicines, equipment and furniture.
  • School Uniforms to poor students of government Schools in Pakistan.
