Empowering Women Through Advocacy and Support

The Indus Canada Foundation (Indus) organized a series of workshops and events aimed at empowering women through advocacy and learning. These initiatives included:

A workshop on "Women Empowerment Through Advocacy" which explored the challenges faced by women in the workplace and business. Indus also conducted a survey to understand why many women were not involved in jobs or businesses, providing a foundation for targeted programs to support them.

An interactive workshop titled "Role of Men in Women Empowerment" engaged men in the discussion, promoting gender equality and partnership. Indus is also hosting events on International Women's Day since 2015, highlighting women's achievements and advocating for gender equality.

Indus organized multiple workshops and one-on-one consultations on "Impact of Family Violence on the Psychology of Children" aiming to raise awareness about the effects of domestic violence, how it impacts children, and what parents needs to do reduce psychological issues faced by children.

The efforts of Indus in promoting women's empowerment were recognized when their project, "Women Empowerment Through Advocacy and Learning," earned first place in the Center for Global Society's Social Capital Tournament in Calgary, achieving a score of 91%.
